Come together for a monthly extended practice, a great way to consistently, with support and community, reach for new challenges, and deepen your practice.

Deepen your experience and move your practice to unforeseen levels. Each class will include vinyasa warm-up, headstand, shoulder stand and an extended Savasana, or Yoga Nidra meditation. Each class will feature a balanced sequence designed to deepen awareness of feeling and knowledge in a particular part of the body, or a particular family of poses, based on your interests. Using an approach that focuses on Essential Actions, or indispensable qualities.

Uncover the Essence of Practice in a way that will change your approach to all poses and sequences for years to come.

A brief discusson on teachings of karma yoga, yoga of action and service, the heart of bhakti (devotion) followed by over an hour of singing.

Kirtan is the practice of repeatedly singinng, in call and response, the names and attributes of the Divine. Karl also brings a non-verbal, impovisatinal, expressive, emotive style based on teachigns of the North Indian Raga form, thanks to Pandit Mukesh Desai, a senrior disciple of Pandit Jasraj, and others. Karl also teaches Sanskrit Verses, and Vedic Chanting, from the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad-Gita, and the Upanishads, thanks Swami Dayananda Saraswati, a vedic scholar, teacher and Sadhu, or renunciate sage.

HEALING AND TRANSFORMATION THROUGH SOUND

About Karl:
Karl Erb's passion for yoga has gone through many stages in the 23 years since he began the study of yoga. While Karl has explored many forms, his primary training has been in the Iyengar method of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. Students say Karl inspires a depth of feeling and focus that is increasingly rare in the current Yoga market, aiding students in revealing awareness they never thought possible or even knew existed. Practice with Karl is a celebration of the gift of breath, the gift of yoga, a time to touch your truest nature, while deeply immersing yourself in ever deepening knowledge of the asanas, the body, mind, and senses.

"Such compassion and generosity! I feel like I just went to a spiritual chiropractor!"
~JB

"Karl's teaching brings me to a deeper understanding of what yoga is truly all about. His classes are advanced, but not in the way the
term is often used with regards to difficulty, but rather advanced in the clear and simple way that he asks more of you than you may ask of yourself. The compassionate, yet direct way that he does this has often brought me to the present moment with a grace that hardly seems possible; but it is. When I have a question, when I've plateaued in my practice, when answers in words will not suffice - I take Karl's class."
