Yoga, Kirtan and Dance in Bali
with Karl Erb and Bulan Trisna Delajnik
 We have been invited to go to Bali. A wonderful woman, Siska Silitonga, called and asked if I would like to do a Yoga Retreat and Cultural Immersion in Bali. hmmm....let me see... I said yes.
She has a wonderful intention of offering a very integrated, localized experience with generous local hosts. She seeks to create a true local immersion, and to that end our hosts Baba of the Good Karma cabins and our hostess and instructor Balinese Dance Master Bulan Delajnik, are respected cultural, spiritual and political figures in their region. Siska brings these values to her Eco-Tour company GoToIndo, which offers Orangutang tours, Writers and Readers Festival and more...
Start in with a night Ubud, with yoga and delicious 4 hour spa treatments the next morning before we head through the countryside to Amed, a quiet fishing town in the northeast, for our stay with daily 3 hour Yoga classes, Philosophy, Kirtan, Birdwatching, Hindu Temple tours, great scuba diving (not part of the package) and more, for a rare experience not found by most tourists.
Siska has amazingly arranged for daily Balinese Dance lessons with our host Princess Bulan Trisna Djelantik (PDF) .A rare opportunity, a great workout to take home with you, a cultural exploration with a Master, and good playful fun.
Wellness, international travel, extended spiritual self-reflection... what's not to like? Karl will weave text based study of the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad-Gita so students will learn of, or deepen their personal relationship to the core of Yogic Teachings and be able to navigate self-inquiry with a strong foundation.

Karl Erb
Karl will teach morning yoga asana class and awaken a shining will in students to reveal the sustainer within, our confident resilient being thriving on passion for life. Karl will also offer the yoga of sound, or nada yoga, the practice of chanting, seed syllables, and kirtan (devotional song).
Through voice and song we will attune to the elements around and within, celebrating breath and life through our gifts. Yoga Philosophy from the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad-Gita will be woven throughout, and discussed in evening discussions. Practice Karma yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Raja Yoga, the head, the heart and the joining of the two with Self. Karl brrings his many years of study of Advaita Vedanta, or the source teachings of non-dual philosophies like Tantra.
Karl will also be available for private consultations; time for private sessions has been allocated. |
