FAQ For Teachers

How do I schedule a Class?

First, you need to create an account as a teacher. If you don’t have an account yet, get started here.

Once you have an account, log in and click “Account” and then click “Add New Class.”
This will take you to the scheduling platform where you will click “Add New” under “Classes” in the left sidebar.

From here you will be prompted to fill in:

  • Class title
  • Maximum number of students you’d like to allow into the class
  • The date and time of the class
  • Cost per person

Once you enter all of your class details simply click “Publish.” Once published, your class will be public on the Yoga Nexus’s website under the “Classes” tab.

How do I update my profile?

How do I get paid?

Yoga Nexus is developing an automatic payment processor that distributes funds.

In the meantime, teachers will be paid on the 5th and 20th of every month from Yoga Nexus via PayPal.

When you create your account, please make sure that you provide your accurate PayPal account information so that you can get paid correctly. If you don’t already have a PayPal account, it’s quick and easy to get one. You can sign up for a PayPal account here.

Can I offer discounts to certain people?

We do not have a system for teacher to offer discounts to students. However we do have a referral program that gives you, and new teachers that you recruit discounts. More information can be found on that program can be found here.

What happens if I need to cancel a class?

You can edit the date/time of a class or cancel a class until 24 hours before the start of the class. If the class is canceled, attendees reserve the right to ask for a refund.

What technology do I need in order to teach on Yoga Nexus?

The Yoga Nexus platform is designed to work best on computers (Mac or PC) that have a built-in camera. Larger tablets or iPads can also work, although we suggest using a computer for optimal usability. A phone is not recommended when teaching a class. It is difficult to navigate the website and see your students if you are using a phone.

It is important to have a good internet connection. Your connection may get disrupted if you do not have a good connection and the class may end because of this. YogaNexus is not responsible for classes ending because of poor internet connection
