Aloha! I'm Lauren, a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher (E-RYT 500hr, & Y.A.C.E.P.) based out of Hawai'i. In my classes we will challenge the physical body in order to harness the focus of the mind, and direct awareness towards our centers. Hello friends, I'm Angel, a 500 hour certified instructor with training in Meditation, multiple styles of Yoga, as well as Ayurveda, the sister science to Yoga. I am passionate about living a holistic and balanced lifestyle, and sharing the joy and liberation that yoga brings with others. I live in San Diego, CA and offer weekly classes here in-studio. I am so excited to expand my offerings through Yoga Nexus and share in these ancient teachings here together. In my yoga classes I offer creative yet intelligent sequences to help build mind-body connection through dynamic movement, breath and focus. An RYT 500 yoga instructor with 10+ years of teaching experience, Emma’s classes balance the flowing breath and movements of power vinyasa with the mindfulness of yin. Her goal in yoga instruction is to help students feel stronger, more empowered, and more balanced—both physically and mentally. When she is not on her mat, Emma works full time at a tech company, so she also understands the mobility challenges that come with logging long days at a desk.
Marianne began her yoga journey over eight years ago and she was fortunate enough to have been taught by great friends and instructors during the initial stage. The long distance running also began in parallel and soon she developed a passion for running marathons which takes a toll on your body. Thus, yoga was her choice to counter balance the effect of running long distances. She gained a new level of appreciation for yoga while recovering from a torn ACL while playing soccer because it helped accelerate her recovery.
She loves traveling and has attended yoga classes in many locations all over the world. She has completed 10 full marathons, 3 sprint triathlons, and many half marathons to not only keep an active lifestyle but also to set goals to maintain her motivation.

Ben is the founder of YogaNexus. Ben took his 200-hr yoga teacher training from 7 Centers Yoga in Sedona Arizona and has been interested in Vipassana meditation over the past decade. He finds joy in creating, developing and implementing community projects where everyone provides value and understands that value in participating. At Yoga Nexus he's aiming to combine that joy with his interest in yoga and meditation.
Mahik is a certified Hatha and Vinyasa yoga teacher. She also enjoys teaching pranayama and power yoga classes. Her yoga journey has helped her discover what is truly important and allowed her to live more freely as who she truly is. Yoga has taught her how much inner strength she carries and connected her to a trove of peace and love that resides within her. Yoga Nexus serves as a vessel to project my many passions as to what inspires me in this crazy world, teaching Yin Yoga. Dez is a certified 200-hour RYS, YACEP. She is a seva devout practitioner of Yin Yoga for several years. Her practice and classes emphasize the threefold principles of Yin Yoga; Stillness of the body (Asanas), Stillness of the breath (Pranayama), & Stillness of the mind (Meditation). The ultimate goal of this ancient Chinese form of communion with the self was moksha; the Sanskrit word for liberation. Together these threefold principles of Yin Yoga refine and purify the Nadis (energy channels of the body) so that Prana (life force energy) can shine forth the individual's divinity. Her goal is to provide the time and space for individuals to relax and return to a state of being (instead of doing) in a culture that values busyness, which is a rare gift. Her classes are suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners and beginners.
Visakha Rose is a certified yoga practitioner that has over 500 hours of Yoga Alliance credited trainings and over six years of teaching experience across the globe. She is a devout practitioner of Bhakti Yoga and has studied as well as lived in India while pursuing a spiritual yogic lifestyle for over 5 years. Her classes are for all level practitioners and offers plenty of modifications, props and cues to suit most bodies needs. If you are looking for strength, breath or just to slow it down, all bodies, ages and souls are welcome.

I’ve always been passionate about health and wellness, as well as aging gracefully. By being a very spiritual person myself, I instantly fell in love with yoga from day one. I became a passionate yoga practitioner realizing that it made me feel better on a physical level, doing things that I wouldn’t imagine I could do on my mat. I also progressed on spiritual and mental levels as well, on and off of the mat. On my life’s journey, I felt the need to share with others what I had learned, and continue to learn, and that’s how I decided to take a step forward to officially become a yoga teacher.
